But I simply must insist that I take part in this study. Purely in the selfless interests of furthering medical knowledge and potentially benefiting all humankind, of course.
I have a feeling they wont have any shortage of volunteers for this study
lol choco-------late
*where do i sign up*
oh phew......
Don't tell me that you are the new menomama ![]()
It's not fair
You need angle brackets there...
I need more than that, I'm having a numpty day - must be the thunder.

There you go
Yes, it's jolly loud here at the moment, but at least the computers have not all reset yet...

I have type 1 diabetes...
Surely some research should be done into that also?
Where do I sign up?
Perhaps we could start out own study and submit our results later? Together with an expenses bill for our bar of chocolate a day, of course.
When they say bar, they //do// mean those slabs from Hotel Chocolat, don't they?
Yes - with all the tasty bits in...
//Soy - another source of flavonoids - has also been added to the special bars.//
Wassatnow!?
I noticed that - didn't realise you were a source of flavanoids.
Me neither.
I welcome being eaten though.
Too much?
By menopausal women?
That's too much.
Don't want to be Type 2ist, but don't you mean fat, blind menopausal women who can't walk and might well be prone to kidney problems...?
i realise that might sound a little bitchy....
"The researchers aim to recruit 150 women under the age of 70 with type 2 diabetes who have not had a period for at least a year, and who have been taking cholesterol-lowering statin drugs for at least 12 months."
they don't mention 'menopausal', just under 70 etc - I think, most ladies here could make - or fake - the impression they are under 70...
Of course.
Apart from the fact that it does state "postmenopausal" and refers to women "who have not had a period for at least a year"...
uh oh I better hide that info from Jen hehehe
in that case my wife has been on a life long study..![]()
Of course you do! ![]()
I don't know why they waste their time. It is scientifically proven that chocolate (cocoa) is benefic for your health. And if you eat without feeling guilty, you live more![]()
But yeah, I'm in
xx
Shhhhhhh don't tell them that or they will withdraw the offer of free chococlate.
Now, do you definitely have to be postmenopausal or will just damn difficult suffice.....................
X
I got told about this at work today, i'm sure I can pretend!!! maybe we could do our own study?
I miss chocolate, I crave it on occasions...*sighs*
You.... miss it?
That means you don't.......
*does not compute*
hehe...sugar intolerance means that when i do have the glorious milky stuff...I feel like i have flu for hours...sometimes it's worth a flake...but mostly I can't
